The t2Store™ mirror service, for secure archiving and backup
t2Store™ implements the principle of mirroring: a main system and a mirror system (identical to the first) store and archive the same data simultaneously. In case of damage to the main system (due to theft, water damage, or technical malfunction), the mirror system can be easily configured to take over without the need to restore data saved to backup systems. Indeed, requiring the provision of a new server and the restoration of backed up data would cause a service interruption lasting several days.
True Terabytes
Techniques for protecting and optimizing magnetic media are numerous. t2Store™ integrates these technologies (RAID0, RAID5 and RAID6 with backup disks for images, RAID1 for the base). These techniques consume space. The actual space available for data (images), called usable space, is less than the gross capacity (number of disks x disk capacity). t2technology expresses t2Store's storage capacity only in terms of usable space.
